Here is a brief written about the movie Cinderella of Walt Disney.
Tales can be very deep indeed, Cinderella is a type of character that people can have, adopt, live with. They are good hearted and they can't say no, for them is really difficult to say no to other requests. Cinderella does all the "dirty job" in the house and the sister and the stepmother use her, hate her. There is one other similar character, but completely different, this one helps others too, but does it to control others, needs approbation from other people. To understand the difference, Cinderella (Centaury character in Bach Flowers) will never complain, at least will burst out, the other type, Snow White (Chicory type in Bach flowers) will always complain, but will almost never burst out.
There is always Yin Yang in all what is, Cinderella is an Yin side of one character, we have a Yang side, the sisters and the stepmother; yes, they are the same person; in one character there are two sides, Cinderella can't say no, people use her, she ends hating others and most she is jealous of others (the sisters), that she thinks have more than her; she doesn't know this side, it's hidden or most is outside herself, she is split and she thinks she is good and well hearted, and she is, but she does not understand or doesn't want to "feel" her hate, her anger, she has problems admitting it to herself and founding a way to deal with it.
What happens to Cinderella? For the first time she manages to flow, she "feels" that she has to go to the dance and she does something that goes against her character, she prepares herself with beautiful clothes, a beautiful carriage and she goes out of her house with no permission, all done by herself! Yes, there is her fairy this time, a "spiritual" part of her being, but her fairy could be always there if she always remembers how to flow (in the italian version of the movie the Godmother name is changed in Smemorina, "Forgetting" . This time she is one with herself, because her heart feels the situation and what happens? She gets in love, her heart is full and she flows marvelously in love... in this situation her Yin and Yang are in harmony, together.
But... midnight comes, the Yin element is returning, midnight, dark, winter, no more sun, guilty feeling to be out of her house, of her "normal life" in a such weird situation: IN LOVE! It's not possible, she must escape, she must go back to her usual way of being, in her usual character and she runs away. She splits from her Yang element, the Prince.
Why in most tales the main character is a woman, a girl? It's because we are the Yin side of the creation, where the Tao, God or whatsoever is the Yang side; so Cinderella, Snow-white, are not only for a woman, they can suite perfectly also for a man and the most deep meaning is for both to be integrated with the Yang side of existence.
The story is very sad, now Cinderella is locked behind a door, in top of a tower, nobody really chose to lock her there, she only jailed her heart, that heart that was in love, that heart that put her in that so dangerous situation...
She also threw away the key.
The story is sad because most people get in this situation and will never open again, sure they marry, they do their life, but that marvelous moments will never come back and if one other situation will be, probably they will escape again...
She feels guilty, when we are little children, everyone introjects mother and father commands and way of thinking, in psychoanalysis they call them: Internal Objects. These are always more or less destructive and a character like Cinderella can be caught deeply by "sins" caused by her internal objects. The first was: Oh my God, I must be home before midnight! From then on is a sequel that ends closing herself and "forgetting" her love. She can even go with someone else, thinking she loves him, but that is a reflection of her true love, this one is not so dangerous, it's suitable for her Internal Objects, it's not devastating, can be controlled.
Only who finds the key can be free to love is/her real beloved and is free from is internal objects and realizes him/herself.
Cinderella is lucky, her prince is stubborn and really in love and he doesn't stop waiting her so easily. He starts searching her.
She is helped by some little mouses, they are children, her childhood comes and helps her, she manages to throw away from her mind her ego that wants for her to be a good woman, and thinks that a good woman must not be happy - or at least doesn't know how to be happy because one's heart is closed - and she doesn't deserve gift in her life.
Love saves Cinderella, she manages to open her heart again and she marries her prince. The meaning of this is that a Cinderella character always must try to open is heart and follow what his heart wants, be with who really his heart loves and not follow the rationality of one's head.
Carlo for his love
Now something more in a chat with my spiritual guides.
Ash
Ash: tales are the most short-deep symbolic things that can be, together with poems and paintings, they are very interesting.
You understood well, the heart closed in a tower means that the head is doing the heart job Carlo! But, you forgot the most important point lol! The crystal shoes, the little shoes.
Me: that I did not understand why, really, i know must be deep...
Ash: yes indeed... shoes are important for Cinderella characters, with a pair of shoes they can walk, they can run... lol, still you don't understand?
Me: umm, she can escape, but it's not easy to escape with crystal shoes and... she, her sister, breaks one, but... she has the other one. The shoes are the only thing that remains in her after midnight!!!
Ash: yes, the shoes, the feet are the only connection Cinderella has with his beloved, he founds her only because of them and Cinderella "remembers" him by her shoe, her foot... feet like hands are deeply connected with the subconscious, the heart. Yes, that's why the Chinese, to control their women, did so horrible things, reducing the size of their feet and remember Christ and what he said about washing the feet in John 13:10, the real meaning is a meditation...
The shoes are made of crystal, she has a crystal view of her life, of everything, when she escapes, she loses this and she "goes in the head", she loses her entirety, her totality, her being one from the feet to the head.
The prince, like her, has one "crystal shoe", they are connected, she forgot her one, but her heart no.
The sister destroys the one of the prince, this means that she tries to block the crystal view of him, denying his love to herself, but Cinderella, when all seem ending with no hope, "remembers", the heart manages to finally open again and finds again the crystal view of her love.
Lisa
Lisa: Cinderella has a lot of hate Carlo, this hate is in the stepmother, she is full of hate, the sisters no, they are invidious, but the stepmother has introjected so much hate to all those that keep her slave and most toward the father that is nowhere and left her in this miserable situation and alone. Consider that the father is somewhere, but in the movie he is nowhere, because he is completely absent. The Prince wants Cinderella, but has to deal with her hate, this is the meaning of the feet that the sisters cut and of the breaking of the crystal shoe, an act against the father/prince, but in that moment the hate can be seen and Cinderella can decide to thrust and give herself at her Prince to find a new relation that will finally give her the love she needs and that will give her the faith needed in the Yang element.
Me: but how? (In Tai Chi being able to use both toes and heels for standing and moving is very important)
Lisa: the moment with more hate in the movie is when the Cinderella/stepmother understands that Cinderella/heart loves the prince: she can't love who she hates, the Prince/father that left her.
It's an "internal object" that has become so powerful and, you father would say, so "Luciferin" - the cat Carlo, Lucifer, you forgot the fundamental figure of the cat - can't tolerate that love destroys her revenge and here the fight is mortal between love, her need to free herself once for ever from the tyrant ego and these "internal objects" self destructing. Hate is a fundamental component to understand in love relations.
Unfortunately Cinderella doesn't see this hate, she is not in touch with it, she doesn't feel hers, she is dissociated from it and she can't admit it to herself.
Cinderella, nearly, nearly Carlo, forgets her love, the pain is deep, but love cannot be all forgot and jumps out and the "internal objects" must always fight it and the anger is the most useful element to hide it: one thinks at his/her beloved, but immediately one thinks to the "supposed" wrongs suffered, to the impossibility to have him, her and therefor we go away from it.
Me: the solution?
Lisa: the key Carlo, the mouses of Walt Disney, the little birds, the dog, the horse, all ani-mals (in italian animali, anima-li, anima means soul from Latin).
There is a fundamental help that come to Cinderella and the Prince and that she accepts, the help from the soul, the pre-conscious mind, the Spirit, from God.
Cinderella starts flowing thrusting that she is not alone in this universe and that something exists, someone that can help her and that the universe is not so bad as she wants it is.
This something always helped her when she decided to flow, like when she wents to the dance or in the moment that when she escapes from the room, she "goes down" to rediscover her beloved... this flow gives thrust in life and leaves the heart free.
Denise
Me: and you?
Denise: there is nothing more to say or there is so much to say on this tale Carlo, everything is deep in it, but let me explain better the shoes meaning, ok?
Me: sure
Denise: the shoes are of crystal, they crystallize, they stop time, love stops time, in love there is no time, everything goes away, is nothing, everything disappears or is not important in life, only love stays and Cinderella and the prince after they met have only one thing, a shoe each, a crystal shoe, but that is all what is needed, they have a pair of shoes, one shoe alone is useless, if my love is for one other that doesn't love me, my love is useless, I trow away the shoe. Cinderella doesn't throw away her shoe, the heart knows the prince loves her and the heart can't do nothing else that wait him because there is nothing else in life but love.
The shoe of the prince is not broken, is only the Cinderella/sister that tries to break is heart denying her love to him, but Cinderella/heart at the end finally can get rid of her Internal sister and reminds herself of the only thing real, her crystal shoe, her love.
Mari
Me: ciao, what do you say about Cinderella?
Mari: nothing Carlo, all is said and is very nice, I like that tale :)
There are only few deep loves in our life, they are great moments to make a real step, unfortunately we often don't understand them and our proudness blocks us and we can be far from our love for many years. One can feel a deep love, it's something that once in a while opens one feelings, a song reminds him or her, a leave on the tree, a ray of sun, everything, it's a moment, in that moment both are thinking eachi other, there is true love, that moment is dangerous, can burst out, some tears come and wet our eyes, we harden our self, we clean those tears, life goes on... we remain on it surface.
Sheila
Me; And for you, the crystal shoes hun?
Sheila: :) ty Carlo, there are actually no shoes, in love you take off the shoes and when the prince takes off one shoe from Cindy, the time breaks in a million of little pieces of crystal and the heart of Cindarella is free and she can take off the other shoe and she is one with him.
Crystal fixes time, it blocks time, from midnight there is no more time in the life of the two in love because nothing has no more meaning, only that moment of love was the real thing and so time passes, but is not lived, waiting that the other will be back, only then the crystal shoes are no more and finally life flows again and has a deep meaning again now :)
